Award-winning writer Arlin Çiçekçi’s examinations of social and historical issues have made her one of the most important names in the contemporary Turkish literature. Using different narrative forms and pushing the possibilities of story-telling, her work tackles violence against women and the destruction of nature. Examining story-telling from the past to the present, at ITEF 2024 she will discuss the position of the author in fiction and the place of fiction in our own lives.
