Petre Craciun was born in 1962, Giurgiu. He  is a writer of children's literature, journalist, author of documentary films and producer of several television programs. He is a member of the Romanian Writers' Union, the Literature for Children and Youth Association, director of the Children's Literature Portal and of the Romanian Identity Website.
